On April 30, 2014, police officer Christopher Manney shot and killed Dontre Hamilton in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Family and friends of Dontre Hamilton led the march and protest to demand justice for Dontre.
Inside the Milwaukee Courthouse, District Attorney John Chisholm ruled that the shooting was in self-defense and declined to prosecute the responsible police officer. Outside the courthouse protestors awaiting the decision chanted Dontre Hamilton’s name.
Family and friends of Dontre Hamilton protest his unjust murder. Officer Manney was not charged.
